xMobility is 20 years old. Two whole decades. Over two million UK mobile numbers activated. The numbers plot our growth, our customers tell the story of our success.
The UK, US, Australia, Brazil, and beyond — hundreds of thousands of numbers delivered to our global customers every month. A long-term partnership with Three UK (now VodafoneThree). Launching brands across Africa, the Pacific, Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific — we were building the infrastructure before the market even had a name for what we were doing.

Some of those early bets became significant businesses. The second number app that grew into a global calling platform with millions of users. A green energy brand that brought ethical consumers and mobile together for the first time. The Welsh MVNO, proving regional identity could anchor a network. Operators across Africa and the Pacific — markets where the infrastructure barely existed, built on xMobility foundations from day one.
When the AppVNO® category didn't exist, we invented it. The BBC and WIRED noticed. We won awards, including Most Innovative Mobile Service and Best Enabler.
Our founder Wayne passed away suddenly in 2024. His high standards remain. The xMob team and I are committed, now even more than ever, to honouring what we started together and growing further still.
Today our virtual number platform covers four key areas. From second number apps to enterprise UCaaS and IoT, the thread running through all of it is the same as it was in 2006: mobile infrastructure that's simple to deploy and easy to build on.
As we grow, and further explore newer solutions like eSIM, we've continued to invest in our CPaaS infrastructure, with direct operator connections across 25 countries. Owned infrastructure and direct relationships mean industry-leading performance and reliability.
Twenty years is a long time. But time flies when you're having fun and moving fast. As the market was catching up — digital MVNOs, eSIM, CPaaS at scale — xMobility was already there. Our team has grown across the UK, US, Turkey, and Portugal, and the foundations are stronger than they've ever been.
To every customer, partner, and supplier who's been part of this — thank you.
The next chapter is already in motion. Stay tuned.
